A school in Sapu Masla doesn't have chairs yet. The pupils, who have to walk miles, crossing rivers several times, arrive at the school only to squat on the floor that is not even concrete yet. With chairs, they can sit a little bit more comfortably and, eventually, learn better from their teachers.
This weekend, the Hearts and Brains, Inc. (HABI) Youth Volunteers together with our partner Youth Organization Team Bundol Mountaineers will construct desks for Mamanawa Elementary School Annex in Lanao, Sapu Masla, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. Reaching the area requires about two-and-a-half hours of trekking.
If you want to help us, we welcome donations. We need iron nails for constructing the chairs. If you could lend us your hammers, saw, steel tape, and other construction materials to speed up the construction, we'll appreciate it. We also need food for our manpower.
