HABI volunteers conducted a Medical Mission among the Tboli tribe on July 27-28, 2014. Sitio T’nuos, Barangay T’kunel is the venue for medical mission located on top of a mountain overlooking Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. This medical mission is in partnership with Danny Sabino of the SocSargen Peace Network.
“Volunteer nurses, Vera Marie, May and John, with muddy feet, walking for hours to reach the venue for the medical mission. It would have been difficult for me if not for the three nurses. John is seen in one of the photos dressing the infected wounds of a child with betadine. There were so many patients. This is the first time that a doctor conducted medical mission in the area. Even if it is in South Cotabato, am still wearing my Serbisyong Sarangan t-shirt. Native snacks were served but nobody cared yet because of so many patients.” Doc Cagape
